Yep, its going to happen, no matter how much you didn’t want it to. LeBron James will win a championship, and I think it will happen tonight. He will be the MVP, he will have a great game. And if I’m wrong, and it goes another 1 (or 2) games, he will have great games in those as well. I really wish this series could last until the NFL season begins, but I’m so ready for the stamp to be put on this one.
Matt Cain tosses the first perfect game in San Francisco Giants history. He becomes the 22nd pitcher to do so in MLB history. Congrats, and bonus points for being on my fantasy team.
I was at the no-hitter game last night. Here is a quick recap.
You Ready? Here we go! I am psyched, peace out big 3, only 1 of which is playing big. I just don’t see how Miami loses this game, but I’ve been wrong before. But speaking of what I’ve been, I was DAMN close on my LBJ prediction:
28.3 PPG 8.8 RPG 7.2 APG
I’m in love with this Spurs / Thunder series. Turned it into a best of 3 tonight.
I’m also a huge KD fan. 23? He’s going to shatter records. He will score > 20 PPG for the next decade. There’s also a few other things. This and this A friend told me about that interview tonight. I watched most of the KD vs LeBron flag football game. Part 2 of the interview is here.
I will say also that Harden is my favorite NBA player left in the playoffs. BRING IT BACK TO SEATTLE, DAMMIT.
Congrats to Johan Santana on pitching a no-hitter tonight. With 5 BB and some help from his fielders, Santana pitches the first no-hitter in Mets’ history. This pains me to write as a Phillies fan.
Can the Spurs go undefeated in the playoffs?

The early part of the week can be killer for sports fans. Especially if you’re older and it means leaving your weekend behind and returning back to the daily grind.
Maybe you just need a list of stuff to keep your brain in sports mode. Or maybe you need some interesting stuff to share with your colleagues around the water cooler. Maybe it’s a simple as finding some random stuff to Google.
That’s just another use for LRDP. We’re gonna be particularly useful when football starts and Tuesday is the first day of the long wait until Saturday/Sunday.
We now present: “The Tuesday Blitz List”… Continue reading
Stan Van Gundy was fired, my bet is he will be coaching the Bobcats next season. I can assure you, he will be coaching next season. What is Dwight Howard’s deal? He’s undoubtedly talented, but has attitude problems clearly. If I were the Magic, I’d get rid of him. My view of the Magic franchise has completely turned on its head this season after all this.
As a kid, I was really into the Magic. Had the Starter jacket, still to this day want a pair of these (although these are a close second), and Lil’ Penny was the greatest ad campaign of all time. I honestly think Penny Hardaway is my favorite professional athlete ever. I found the above picture and had to share. There’s also this.
Dwight, you lost me as a fan this year. In a league where the true Center is scarce, you are without a doubt the best Center in the game. I hope you start to remember that’s what you are, and not a GM.
**It looked like the Celtics-Sixers game was gonna be a blowout. But things changed suddenly and the tension never let up. LRDP took it to Twitter. The following transcript is a pieced together conversation over Twitter during the end of the game. Plus a few aftermath comments. Continue reading
